Fine advice, I agree. I\'d tag on an addendum regarding those of us who write about our families\' lives, including those of our kids: Consider what your kid(s) would think if they read what you just wrote, in some archived capacity, five or ten years from now. And consider what they would think if they knew their friends read it, too. Because both of these things can/ do/ are likely to happen.

I\'ve got a kind of an hourglass in my head with sand trickling through it, counting away the years until I may not write about my kid(s) so directly anymore, or at the least, post images of them. As soon as they can say what they want, I have to honor their wishes. A loss of privacy online is a kind of an amorphous thing, and I sometimes think I\'d have to simply draw a line (Kindergarten? When they or their peers begin to surf the web?)

\'Til some obvious watershed appears, I\'ll be as honorable toward them as I can, while sharing the essences of our lives that connect us with others. Those of us in this LesbianFamily community get so much from one another that -- at least for the moment -- the potential downsides feel worthwhile (to me).

101 is what I need! I certainly think that the most important bit is to not 'blob' anything that you wouldn't be comfortable saying to someones face.
BEst wishes
